This week we have been discussing descriptive writing.  We have been learning about how adding adjectives and similes can help to build a story that the reader can step right into.  Yesterday we came up with some similes and adjectives that describe winter.  We then crumpled up the paper to create snowballs and had a snowball fight with them!  At the end of our snowball fight, each student had to find two snowballs and share what was written on them with the class.  We discussed all the great similes and and adjectives that described our feelings about winter.  We all had a blast!  Check out some of our pictures from the event below!
