Let the Quad Blogging Begin!

As you may recall, last year we had the opportunity to join our first Quad Blog. Quad Blogging was created by Mr. Mitchell and has now taken off with hundreds, if not thousands of classes from around the world taking part every year. We had such a great experience with it that we decided to do it again this year!

With Quad Blogging, you partner up with 3 other classes. Each week, you focus on one class in order to learn more about that class, their school, and their community. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the similarities and differences between classes from around the world.

This year we paired up with the same classes that we did last year. The one difference is that Mrs. Devries has now joined forces with Mr. de Been. We’d like to welcome him to our Quad Blog and can’t wait to learn more about him and his class!

Below you’ll find a link to each class as well as the dates that we’ll be visiting them!

April 22 – April 28 – Mrs. Watson’s 2/3 (British Columbia, Canada)
April 29 – May 5 – Mrs. Ranney’s Class (California, USA)
May 6 – May 12 – 2DD and 2MD (Leopold, Australia)
May 13 – May 19 – Mr. Avery’s Class (Massachusetts, USA)

This week we’ll be visiting Mrs. Watson’s Class so head on over and leave a comment!

    Dear Mr.Avery,
Quad blogging is going to be so much fun! This week it is Mrs.Watson’s class. They are a nice class and I hope they get a lot of comments not only from our class, but from the other classes as well. I know you had a lot of fun with this last year with your class and I hope we have as much fun this year.

I’m interested in quad blogging. I have experienced tri-blogging over the first half of 2013. I’m hopeful to allow my students to experience the richness of students from other parts of the world.
    Yours faithfully,
    Jan Estens

      Hi Jan,

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you! Quad blogging is a great project! You could just add another class to your tri-blog. It may just be a matter of preference though in terms of how long you’d like the quad blogging to last. If you’re looking to sign up, just check out quadblogging.net. You can sign up to quad blog right through there! Good luck!

      Mr. Avery
