This is a place where you can share anything exciting that is going on in your life. If you have a story about your weekend that you just can’t wait until Monday to tell us about, post it on here! Did you win your big basketball game? Share it here! Did you find a $100 bill on the ground? Tell us about it here! You may write about anything that you’d like. I just have a couple of rules for this page that you must follow:
- You MUST use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar. When you are finished writing, check over your work before you submit. Do you have any words that are underlined with a red, squiggly line? If you do, right click on it and find the correct way to spell that word.
- You MUST write in complete sentences.
- Try to add as many details as you can. Use great adjectives and try to include a simile or two!
- Make sure that it is a story that is appropriate for school. Remember, this is a classroom blog.
I look forward to hearing your stories!

Dear Mr. Avery,
On our dashboard, when we log in, can we write a post? I was just wondering.
I’m Skyping with my cousin right now on popout.
From,
Ariel
Hi Ariel,
Unfortunately, you can’t write a post right now! Sorry. Maybe next year when I teach you again you’ll be able to. I’d love to have you keep writing in to the blog though. It’s always great to hear from you and I’ll be excited to hear all about fifth grade!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
We even celebrated my birthday in Vermont too! For my birthday I got bop it and chess. It was really fun! My favorite part of Vermont was visiting The Teddy Bear Factory. When we came in, there was a little bush that was cut out into a bear. We even got a tour of the whole factory! Carly and I both got a bear. I got a little one that has light brown fur and dark brown eyes. Carly got a bear with really light brown fur, but it looks almost white. I even picked out a little dress for her to wear that says Natalie! It’s really cute! Carly got a swim suit with a little hat, blue and purple flowers, and sunglasses that are black. Then, we went to Ben and Jerry’s. We were going to go to Ben and Jerry’s factory but we decided not to. The ice cream was pretty good. I got vanilla in a cup topped with gummy bears! It was delicious.
Sorry I haven’t been writing on the blog, I have been in Vermont. It was really fun! We stayed with Brad’s friends. They are really nice. They even have a pool, which was a good thing because it was really hot! We are leaving to go home tomorrow.
Then, we visited Montreal. It was really cool! Everyone spoke French. Mom bought us a book called Learning How to Speak French. I learned how to say hello, how are you, good bye, kick, thank you, I don’t understand and good luck. We got to stay at a hotel. It even had a mall inside! It was so big! I hope to go back soon! See you soon!
Sincerely,
N♥T♥L!E
Dear Natalie,
You don’t have to apologize! Everyone is so busy during the summer. I haven’t exactly done a great job of writing comments back to everyone who has been writing on the blog over the summer. I’ve been so busy!
It sounds like you had a great birthday. It’s great that you got to celebrate it on vacation in a different state! How was it touring the Teddy Bear factory? Did you get to see how all the teddy bears are made?
You’ll have to teach me some French when we get back to school. You know a lot more French than I do! I only know a little bit of Spanish!
I’ll see you in a couple weeks!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Hi Mr. Avery!
I’m from Ms. Hanna’s Class. She has told us a lot about you. We even have watched some of the math videos on the projector. I am leaving a comment right here because I couldn’t figure it out any other way. Come check out our blog at http://mshanna.edublogs.org.
A student of Ms. Hanna,
Tommye W.
P.S. I am a girl
Dear Mr. Avery,
I went camping. I got back earlier today. My friends and cousins came. Emily B, her little sister, Tristan and Taite came. My grandma and grandpa and more and more friends came.
The best part was yesterday it was pouring and we got in our bathing suits and since we were right next to the playground we made a water slide. It was very fun. Emily B stayed until today just like us. It was fun. The worst part was the bathroom was so far away.
We did so much. We swam in the lake and there was a dock. It was way out in the lake and we swan to them and jumped off of them.
We also went in paddle boats.
I can’t believe I stayed 5 days and 4 nights. When I look back it feels like 5 minutes. It doesn’t feel like a long time.
I’m so exited for school new year is coming right at me.
Sincerely,
Ariel D.
Dear Ariel,
I can’t believe that the new school year is coming up. Summer went by so fast! It sounds like you’ve been having a lot of fun though. Camping is always so much fun.
I hope you’re starting to get ready for the new year! I know the fifth grade teachers are great and you’re going to love them!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I’m a 5th grade techie kid in Mrs. Moore’s tech class. Summer went by very fast and soon is Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Zach
Dear Mr. Avery,
I went to my cousin’s house on Friday. It was really fun besides the part when my cousins smashed in to the cinder block because we put one at the end to keep the soap on the slip and slide. When they went to Maine they got pop it noise makers that sound like fireworks. They also got an earth sprinkler. It was really fun to run under. I can not wait until she gets her license we are going to have so much fun.
I take horse back riding now. You can go to my blog for pictures.
From,
Kaylee
Dear Kaylee,
It’s so great to hear from you! I hope you had a wonderful summer!
It sounds like you’ve been having a lot of fun, except for the whole cinder block accident! I’ll have to visit the blog to look at your horse back riding pictures. Can you believe that I’ve never actually ridden a horse before? That’s one thing that I would love to do someday.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the summer. I’ll see you in a couple of weeks!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
This summer I went to Maine to visit my mom’s dad. Once a year, we go up there to have a family party. Also, I had my first horse show. I had to ride this horse named Pocoyo. It is not his real name. It is his show name. His real name is Pato. He is a mexican horse. For my ribbons I got 1 second, 2 fourths, and 1 fifth. It was not my fault. It was the horses fault. I had this class and I almost fell off. It was really fun. I am probably going to do another show in October. It is called the Halloween show. You have to dress up your horse and I am not sure if you ride them in it or walk them.
Well, anyways how is your summer going? I have read two books! I hope your summer is going well!
From,
Jenna
Dear Jenna,
My summer has been great. Thanks for asking! I’ve been busy getting ready for a new class, teaching a new grade level, and I’ve also been going to school myself. You’re never too old to learn!
It sounds like you’ve been having a lot of fun! I love going up to Maine. I try to get up there at least once a year. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to head up that way yet this year. Maybe sometime soon though!
I think it’s incredible that you placed in your first horse show! It doesn’t matter if you didn’t come in first. I think all the ribbons you got are incredible. I know if I was in one, I wouldn’t get a ribbon! I probably wouldn’t be able to stay on!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer. I’ll see you in a couple weeks!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I think that your sixth grade classroom looks awesome. I love it!
I don’t think you would fall off of a horse even though I almost did. The horse got spooked by what I think was a shadow or a person. I just can’t wait to do another horse show someday. The only reason I didn’t get first is because the people who ride there get first even if she did horrible but that is ok.
I will keep blogging.
From,
Jenna
Dear Jenna,
I’m glad you like the room! There is still a lot of work to be done to get ready for the new year but it’s all worth it!
I’m glad you have confidence that I wouldn’t fall off a horse because I still feel like I would! I’ll be excited to hear all about your next horse show when you do another one!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I’m on my mom’s Droid. It is so cool.
I’m having a fantastic summer. I’m in New Hampshire. It’s very fun even though it’s hot out. Back at home it seems to be hailing. I feel bad for my cats. They must be scared. I hope your summer is going fantastic. It seems that you’re having fun. I hope you are.
When I get home on the weekdays my mom is at work on most of the time I watch TV. It can get boring after a while but sometimes it’s kind of fun.
I’m so excited for school to start. I can’t wait.
Are you excited to be a 6th grade teacher?
Sincerely,
Ariel
Dear Ariel,
It’s amazing what you can do on a phone now! I feel like I have a mini computer with me when I carry mine around!
I’m glad you’re having a great summer. It’s weird that it was hailing at your house because it didn’t at mine. We didn’t even get any rain! Weather can be so weird sometimes. We probably could’ve asked Kevin Lemanowicz about that!
I’m very excited to be a sixth grade teacher. I’ve been working in my classroom this week getting ready for all the new students! There’s still a lot of work to be done but I think the classroom is looking great. Did you see the green wall that I have now? You’ll get to use it next year!
I look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I just went to The Kingsbury Club for lunch, with Heather and Ellie. I got chicken fingers with french fries. I kept ripping off tiny bits of fry for Ellie. She loved it! Carly got a spicy chicken ceasear salad wrap. I took a big bite and all the hot sauce dripped rapidly all over my mouth. The good thing was that it tasted so good! It was so much fun! Then they came to our house, and they are still here. Ellie is running around crazy right now! It’s so funny. He just learned how to walk so she is walking a lot. I can’t wait to see them again!
P.S Do you know that we only have not even a week left until school starts!
Sincerely,
Natalie
Dear Natalie,
That sounds delicious! The way you describe it using such vivid adjectives made it sound absolutely amazing! You must’ve had a pretty good teacher last year who taught you how to “paint a picture with words” because you certainly did that!
As of today, we have exactly one week until Open House. Tomorrow, we’ll only have one week until the first day of school! Do you have all the supplies you need ready to go?
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
On Sunday, I went to the Marshfield Fair with Jenna. Carly invited Becky and I invited Jenna. It was really fun!
At the beginning of the fair, we looked at all the owls and birds. There was even a really colorful parrot! I said “hello.” And the bird said “hi!” It was so cool! We tried to make the bird say it again but the words just didn’t come out. Then we went on the Ferris Wheel. I went on it last year and it didn’t even feel that high, but this ferris wheel was really high. We kept stopping at the top. I hate stopping at the top. It is so scary. I was so scared but Jenna wasn’t. I was so scared we asked the man if we could get off, he said yes, and he stopped the ride. We got off and we went to another ride called Twisted Whirl. It spins really fast. It is so much fun! Then, we got some cotton candy. It melted in my mouth. It was so good! I can’t wait to go to the Marshfield fair next year!
Sincerely,
Natalie S.
P.S Only 1 week until school starts!
Dear Mr. Avery,
I’ve had a really busy summer. I hope you have been having a fun filled one as well. I can’t believe school is almost here. I’m so excited but I miss you so much. Guess what. I am going to be starting voice lessons and I am super excited. Has anything awesome happened to you lately? Please write back.
From your old student,
Amanda
Dear Amanda,
It sounds like you’ve had a great summer. I can’t believe how fast it went by! I really enjoyed mine as well. I did a lot of learning this summer! It’s true when they say that you’re never too old to keep learning!
That’s amazing that you’re starting voice lessons! No teacher would ever be able to help me with my voice! I think they’d run out of the room screaming after just a couple minutes of listening to me sing! I know you’ll be amazing though! You’ll have to show of your voice at the talent show next year!
I can’t wait to see all of you next week!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I am so excited for school and I might sing in the talent show but sometimes we go on vacation that time of year. I hope i get to. Can you believe we are having a hurricane right now? It’s freaking me out big time. I hope everything will be okay. It is so sad what happened to all those poor people in North Carolina, Florida and everywhere on the east coast. Is anything going on in Cape Cod?
From,
Amanda
Dear Amanda,
Even though you had to miss the talent show last year, you did so for good reason! It’s not often you get to swim with dolphins!
It’s definitely hard to believe we have a hurricane. Luckily, it hasn’t been too bad down here. We did lose power but I haven’t seen any trees down yet! Somehow all of the rain seems to be missing us though. I know you’re getting a lot of it up in Plympton but we’ve managed to stay pretty dry!
Stay safe! I look forward to seeing all of you back at school for Open House on Tuesday!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
Sorry about all mistakes on my last comment. It was very hard to write on my mom’s Droid.
I can’t wait until school. I have almost all my supplies. I still need my backpack.
I forgot to mention, when I went to New Hampshire, I went in my uncle’s two-seat plane. I went in with my mom. I sat on her lap but I regret sitting there because I was squeezed so tight from the seat belt. We didn’t go up but we taxied (stayed on the water going around) around the Lake. It was fun. The reason I didn’t go up was that I wanted for my uncle Dave to bring me up. My uncle is in Kuwait. He doesn’t have to fight, just pack but he said it’s even hotter there then Iraq. ♥
From,

Dear Mr.Avery,
I was excited that I was helping in setting up Miss. Leek’s class! I think that your class is awesome, the way you have the computers all lined up and the green wall. Taite is going to be very happy there. Also, Ms. Girard is totally nice. I can’t believe I met her today. Did you know that there is a new girl going into Mrs. Markos’ class? Her name is Olivia. I can’t wait to be back in school!
Sincerely,
Tristan
Hi Tristan,
It was great that all of you came in to help out. I’m sure the fifth grade teachers really appreciated it!
I’m glad you like the classroom. There’s still a lot of work to be done but it’s getting there! You should see Ms. Girard’s class. It looks great! She’s been so hard at work all week.
I’m looking forward to seeing all of you next week!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I can’t believe that we had a tropical storm in Plympton. Unfortunately, it did a lot of damage. A tree fell on my house. It only hit the side, but part of the tree fell off and hit the roof. It made two holes but my dad covered one up. The other hole is blocked by part of the tree branch. It’s so funny because the tree branch is sticking up. The wind felt so strong. We lost electricity, and it is still out. I am on my mom’s iPhone.
I have to go. I am so sorry.
See you at school!
Sincerely,
N♥T♥L!E
Dear Natalie,
I can’t believe we had a storm like that either! It sounds like it was worse in Plympton than it was here. We lost power for a few hours but now we have it back. I know that the school still doesn’t have power so they pushed back the first day to Thursday and Open House is going to be rescheduled.
I’m sorry to hear about your house! I hope it’s not too hard to fix! At least everyone is safe. That’s the most important thing.
I’ll see you on Thursday!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
Last Saturday a yellow jacket flew into my mouth and stung my tongue. Grr… I eternally loathe yellow jackets. I was just talking!
Your student,
Tessa
Dear Tessa P.,
Wow! A yellow jacket? >:( I didn’t even know they could actually get in your mouth.
I just hope you feel better!

Dear Mr. Avery,
I can’t wait until the NFL season starts. I am going to watch any game I can. I wonder if the offense is going to improve with Ocho on the team. Please write back!
Sincerely,
Frankie P.
Hi Frankie,
I hope your game went well today! I hope you started out the season 1-0. I hope the Patriots will too!
I’m definitely so excited that the NFL is back on. This is one of my favorite times of the year. I think the Pats will have a great team this year and adding player like Ochocinco and Haynesworth should definitely help!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
Hi! I just wanted to let you know that im super happy you are my math and science teacher this year! You are really good at teaching it, I know this because I had you for a teacher in 4th grade. I remembered you did a fantastic job teaching it.
Even though I dont have you as a full time teacher, I still have you half the time.
This year I think you and Miss Girard will make a great team. I can’t wait until we get further into the year!
Your Student,
Jennifer W.
Dear Jenny,
I just wanted you to know that I’m super happy that you’re in my math and science classes this year!
I’m glad you tried out all the different codes to make words bold and add smiles. You’ll remember how to do all of it very quickly!
I’m really glad that Miss Girard is at Dennett. She’s a great teacher and I think you’re really going to enjoy her this year!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
Hi! It’s Kristin. I just wanted to let you know that this Saturday I have a soccer game at Sacred Heart Elementary School at 10:15. I just wanted to let you know that you can come if you are not busy. Other people on my team are Moriah, Tess, Yana, Allison, Morgan, and a lot of other kids including fifth graders. I hope you can come. See you in class tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Kristin H.
Dear Kristin,
I hope your soccer game went well! I couldn’t make it because I actually had to go to my girlfriend’s niece’s first soccer game! She’s only five. She was so excited!
Did you win? I hope to be able to make it to one of your games this year!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr.Avery,
I was looking online the other day and I found a ton of emoticons. I thought it was cool so I printed it out and I thought I could try some out. So here it goes!
<:o ) :[ (so) (sn) (*) (K) (T) (O) :’( (U) (@) (&) (A) (ip) (um) (co) (mp) (mo) (li) (6) +o( (W) (F) (8) (A) |-) (T) :-# That is not even half of them but I dont feel like trying all of them right now. I can’t wait to see which ones work and which don’t.
A crazy student,
Tessa
Dear Mr.Avery,
I totally failed on the emoticons.
I don’t think I did the spaces right. It’s kind of sad but hilarious.
I can’t wait to hit 2,000 comments. It will be a MAJOR milestone.
Your student,
Tessa
Dear Mr Avery,
This weekend was AWESOME! I went shopping with my next door neighbor. We went to the mall and a couple other places. Then, we went to T.G.I Fridays and had lunch and after we went to Walmart. We went home and watched a little bit of t.v. So, then I left to go home and played a little bit. Then I had to go back over because no one was home so then we watched more t.v. while playing cards. Then, when my sister was home, I went back home. On Sunday, I went to the Silver Lake football game with Taite and we WON! After, I went over her house and made forts and played Just Dance 2. It was really fun.

Dear Mr. Avery,
I miss you so much! I can’t believe you moved to sixth grade instead of fifth grade! I can’t wait to go to sixth grade. Then, I would miss Mrs. Markos. Thank you for picking me to go into Mrs. Markos’s class. Ms. Leek is really nice too.
We just did an experiment with camouflage. Ms. Leek cut out black moths and printed moths and put them on newspaper and divided us into groups. Then, we would spread all of them out, and we would close our eyes and open and the first one we see we would grab it. The theory is that the printed camouflages better than the black one does. I miss you so much! Hope you have a great year! See you at school soon!
Sincerely,
Natalie
Dear Mr Avery,
I had an awesome weekend! But, I have some bad news. The bad news is I have a wrist brace on. I know you didn’t know this before but in 3rd grade I broke my wrist falling off the jungle gym at school. I’ll tell you the rest at school!

Hi Mr. Avery! I just wanted to let you know that I made my own Symbaloo!
I think it works great, most likely because it’s my homee page so everything I need to use is right there!
But I was also wondering if somehow I could find your Symbaloo on the website so I could use the links on your page.

Dear Mr. Avery,
Do you think we could make videos on our geography people later on this year? I think that that would be a lot of fun! Also, do you think we could go to Heritage Museum this year for a field trip because it was a lot of fun going there in fourth grade! Thank you for listening!
Sincerely,
Anthony V.
Dear Anthony,
I think we’ll be making videos about a lot of different things later this year! We’ll be making videos for the science part of our geography fair.
I don’t believe we’ll be able to go to Heritage again this year. It was a ton of fun but we have some other great field trips planned!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr Avery,
I am so happy that you are my teacher again this year!!
Even though I broke my wrist AGAIN but in four weeks i get my cast off! I’m very mad because I cant do a lot of things. This weekend I’m planning to go over Kirstyn’s house and inviting Molly over or she can sleep over.
From,

Dear Rachele,
I’m so glad that I have you as a student again this year!
I’m sorry you broke your wrist. At least you can still do a few types of dance! Hopefully you’ll have that cast off soon and you’ll be right back at all the types of dance!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
Well, I used to not do hip hop but I couldn’t resist so the next week I went and did everything. It was really fun and it felt good to be back on my dancing feet. Oh, and Taite joined our dance studio! Taite and I are partners in the dance we’re doing. It’s really cool. I wish that you, Miss Girard and other teachers could see it.

Dear Mr. Avery,
I like the music from Tech Night. It was a little weird but awesome at the same time. See you Thursday!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Steven,
The music was a little odd but I felt like it fit the video pretty well! It’s funny to see everyone moving around so fast! I think it’d be interesting to see a video if it took a picture every second or every few seconds!
I hope you enjoyed your time off!

Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
Tonight is basketball tryouts. I hope I get on a good team. I can’t believe that I’m doing basketball. Last year I did it and I didn’t like it that much. But it gives me something to do. Also, thanks for coming to our games last year. That was very kind.
You’re the best teacher ever and Mrs. Markos is great and she’s so nice.
From,

Dear Mr. Avery,
I think I sprained or fractured it. It hurts when I move it. I did it at tryouts and it was right at the end.
This is the fist time I think I’ve fractured anything. I’ve never broke anything. My sister sprained her toe during the summer and had to use crutches.
I hope to talk to you soon.

Hi Mr. Avery. My weekend is going to be awesome! I’m going to the school dance this Friday night with my brother’s girlfriend’s son. He’s from Kingston. His name is Owen and he never has been to a school dance before but he’s in the same grade as me. Then, I’m going to the Pilgrim Thanksgiving parade with him, my brother, my brother’s girlfriend and my nephew. Also, after the parade we’re going to Pump n Jump for my nephew’s birthday party and I’m also going with Owen to that. Wow, what a weekend! I have to go but I’ll see you tomorrow.

Dear Molly,
Thank you for your comment. I hope you have a good time at Disney World. I was wondering, how many times you have gone to Disney World? We hope to hear from you again when you get back.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Avery,
I went to the Thanksgiving Parade with Emily and her sister Olivia. It was very cold but it was fun. When the people who were being the war veterans shot their guns, I got the bullet that came out. We invited some little kids that couldn’t see to sit in front of us because they were small and they literally sat on our laps! It was crazy, I mean they were so close to us. We meant to sit where they moved but no. Then, their mom told them to sit over a couple feet away from us and I was happier. But still It was weird.
Tonight Emily is coming over for dinner and my mom is making it right now. We’re going to have so much fun.
Hope you have a nice Saturday.

Dear Mr. Avery,
I have never commented on the blog and I decided it was time for a change. Every Friday, I have a 2 hour art class. The art teacher taught me how to draw manga, video game characters, and Disney princesses. I can not share at my house because it keeps telling me that I have the incorrect anti-spam word, even though I know that I have the correct word. Right now, my drawing talents lie in drawing transformers and robots.
I will comment more!
From Wesley K.
Hi Wes,
I think your drawing talents lie in much more than that! You are so amazing. Your discount poster you made is incredible. You’ll only get better with time and practice.
I used to love to draw. I still do love to draw, it’s just difficult to find the time to. I actually originally went to school for art before I decided that I wanted to be a teacher. I always try to find ways to use art in the classroom though. If you come up with any project ideas, I’d love to hear them!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I just left a super long comment on the blog! I hope you have a great Thanksgiving! I am super stuffed. I wanted to tell you about a family tradition we have at Thanksgiving. On Black Friday, we don’t go shopping (that’s not the tradition and I’m not crazy like Alyxandra). But promise you won’t tell Will because we eat pie and potato pancakes for breakfast. Wait for it, I’m not kidding. We have done this ever since I can remember. Well, it’s getting late and I’m tired, I’ll see you on Monday!

You have made class a lot of fun so far this year! And I am very excited to see what we will be doing later in the year! Do you know what Math Movies we will be doing next? I hope that I can get to be in the next one. I am so glad that you are my teacher again
How about you Come to Middle School with me? Yeah….that sounds pretty good!
Happy Holidays! *<[:{)

Dear Mr. Avery,
Second time commenting on the blog. So my art class got canceled because of a Christmas tree lighting. It was actually fun because all my new friends from art class got to help little kids. So did I. Unfortunately, my sister had to come and be such a party pooper. She shouted at me to get out because on that same night was Boy Scouts.I had completely forgot about it. The trip was to smelt pond. Plus, a ten mile hike.
I am so excited for next class. Happy holidays.
Sincerely,
Wesley

Dear Mr. Avery,
Well…my mom is planning something and I have NO idea what it is though. It is tomorrow afternoon but I it starts with an O so it leaves me hanging on a string. I’m sad now. You probably saw me writing this message so there is not really any point in writing this. My dog is probably going to freak if we are gone long. He barks SO loud!

Dear Mr. Avery,
I noticed you didn’t put up my last comment but anyways my surprise was A Christmas Celtic Sojourn. I had so much fun it was in Boston and we went to the north end to have dinner and went to MIke’s Pastry to get conolies!

Dear Mr.Avery,
I love the frog that you put on the blog. It is so cool! You should put more animals on the blog.
Sincerely,
Will G.
Dear Mr. Avery,
I want a blog SO BAD! I’ve been looking into making one but I don’t know how to make links or certain other things!
I hope I win or get one!

Dear Mr. Avery,
I can not wait until the big Super Bowl! I think that the Pats will win against the Gaints. When we play in the Super Bowl, my family and I have a bunch of food like: chips and salsa, scollops wrapped in bacon, and other good foods. Go Pats!
From,
Yana G.
Hi Yana,
I can’t wait until the Super Bowl either! I love watching it every year no matter what but it’s even better when your favorite team is in it!
I usually get together with friends and family as well, much like you do. We always serve all sorts of food. Usually by the end of the game I feel like I’d never be able to eat another thing because I’m so full!
Let’s hope that a week from Monday we’re all coming in to school with a huge smile on our faces, minus maybe Alyxandra!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I can not wait until the game tonight! Who will win? Who will lose? I DON’T KNOW! Anyways, I love my blog! I am so excited and it is SO hard to pick a theme. Seriously there is 100 to choose from!
I am going to work on my blog!
Tessa
Dear Mr. Avery,

Dear Rachele,
I had an amazing birthday. It was everything I ever could’ve asked for and more! I had an amazing time in Boston and some of our blogging buddies made great videos for me! I can’t wait to share them with all of you!
Keep working hard on that dancing! I’m sure you’ve got a great dance planned for the Talent Show!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I will keep working hard on dancing. I can’t wait for the talent show. It’s going to be awesome. I can’t wait to see your teacher dance too! I hope you can come to my recital because if you do that will be awesome. You can see how good I am. I do hip-hop, jazz, and tap. If you come I’ll tell you what my dance is called on the pamphlet so that you can look out for me. Speaking of dancing I have to go soon to go to jazz and tap.
Sincerely,
Rachele

Dear Rachele,
Just wait til you see what we have in store for the talent show this year! It’s always a huge hit but I think this years will be even better!
It would be nice for all the teachers to go see you. We always hear how great you are so it would be nice to see it!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I can’t wait to see how the teachers do in the talent show. I wonder what Mrs. Markos is going to do. I was looking at the blog and I heard people asking you if your class had reached 2 million comments. At school we almost reached one million minutes. Just about 300,000 minutes to go!
Sincerely,
: P
Natalie
Dear Natalie,
It’s a big surprise what we’re going to do. I think you’re really going to enjoy it though! Are you going to be in the talent show this year? If so, what are you planning to do?
We’re getting very close to 1,000,000 minutes. It’s incredible that everyone’s been able to read that much! Have you been doing a lot of reading? What books have you been reading?
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I miss you so much! I can’t believe Mrs. Markos is having a baby! I hope it’s a girl! I am writing on my iPod. I wish I was in sixth grade but next year I will be. I wonder which teacher I’ll get. Got to get ready for school! See you soon.
Sincerely,
Natalie
Dear Natalie,
It’s great to hear from you! It’s been a while since you’ve written on the blog. How is fifth grade?
I know you have an iPad in your class. We have two iPod Touches though that you’ll be able to use next year. We use them for many different projects!
I can’t believe Mrs. Markos is having a baby either. It’s too bad she’s going to miss some of school next year!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I’m in my driveway waiting for Carly to get on the bus for middle school. Middle school seems cool but I’ll miss Dennett. I don’t want to go though because there is a lot of classes. My sister really loves middle school. She had long comp yesterday. We have MCAS on Friday and Monday. We get to wear comfy clothes. Got to go!
Sincerely,
Natalie
Dear Natalie,
I think you’ll really enjoy middle school! It’s weird to think that you’ll be there in just a couple of years. It didn’t seem like all that long ago when I was teaching you!
We had MCAS today and we have it again tomorrow as well. Everyone’s working really hard and that’s all I can ever ask for from my students!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I can’t believe that the school year is almost over! So far I have had a splendid week. First on Monday I went to the Boston Marathon. It was really hot. It was so hot I felt like an egg sizzling on the sidewalk. When we were walking there were a lot of advertisements. Like there was a person that works for the Mentos company. So the lady was handing out free Mentos. It was really good. Then they had a clam chowder truck so we got a bowl and it was really good. Carly doesn’t like clam chowder so I let her have my crackers. Then we got free waters. My dad made us drink a lot of water so that we wouldn’t get dehydrated. Finally we waited for the race to start and then they did. They were really fast. There were these two men and they were running and then they went side by side but then the guy ran right in front of him at the last second. My cousin Monica ran the marathon but only for fun. It took her five hours and thirty something minutes. It was really fun!
Today we went to Mea’s Dairy Bar. It was a little chilly but my mom and I were really craving icecream. So we went to Mea’s and I saw Allie M’s mom. My mom got a really chocolatey (and what she calls dreamy) milkshake. I got a really massive vanilla swirl. I heard some lady say that the icecream was bigger than me and it was, just about. The icecream took me a long time to finish though. Today was a really fun day!
Sincerely,
